How Much Does a Corporate Scavenger Hunt Cost? (2026)

A corporate scavenger hunt typically costs $1,500 to $8,000+, depending on group size and customization. With Handstand, $1,500 is the floor, not the ceiling: it's where a standard route for 30 people starts, and where fully custom builds, like a four-day puzzle narrative built into an Irish castle, begin scaling from. That's the whole point of this post: to give you a real range to plan around, standard or fully custom, before you ever talk to us. Below is the honest version: what we charge, what the rest of the market charges, and the variables that change the price.
The Cost of a Corporate Scavenger Hunt – Short Answer
At Handstand, our flagship scavenger hunt, The Hunt, starts at $1,500 for up to 30 players. At capacity, that's about $50 per person, and it's the same floor whether you're in San Francisco, New York, or anywhere in between.
Bigger groups, above 30 players, mean more hosts and more production, so the $1,500 price scales up with headcount.
From the baseline, the sky is the limit in terms of the bespoke nature of what we can do. To get a better idea, check out the custom Hunts we built for Whitestone's offsite in NYC, and Prosus' leadership summit in Mountain View.

What the Rest of the Market Charges
Pricing across this category isn't hidden, exactly, but it's rarely directly upfront either. When companies do publish pricing information, here's roughly where the market sits. This information is based on what we found for a standard Hunt event in San Francisco for ~30 people. Pricing is from August 2026.
| Vendor | Event Cost |
|---|---|
| Handstand | $1,500 for up to 30 people for a standard Hunt, anywhere. ~$50 per person. |
| Firefly | Rates start at $3,000 for 30 people. ~$100 per person. |
| cityHUNT | Quoted per-person only. Range from $50–$150 per person. |
| Watson Adventures | $650 weekend, $715 weekday for outdoor and museum-style hunts (from 2018, exact current rate unknown). ~$23 per person. |
Most buyers won't start a conversation without a number, and we don't think they should have to. In TrustRadius's 2023 B2B Buying Disconnect report, 54% of buyers said they're less likely to buy from a vendor that hides pricing, the single most-cited reason. That study surveyed software buyers, but the instinct holds: nobody wants to dig through five pages to find out if something's in budget. Ours is right here, plainly, at the top of this post.

How to Level Up Handstand's Corporate Scavenger Hunts
First off, let's talk about what's included in the baseline.
The $1,500 floor includes:
- Game access for every player (up to 30) in our native iOS and Android app.
- Riddle and route design built around the location and its hidden spots.
- FaceTime support during the game from a live human being. We'll throw in a joke too if you tell us we're funny. ☺️ An in-person host is available for a cost (and expect more jokes).
- A photo and video album of all the game content afterward to relive the memories.
Several variables come into play when it comes to the cost of our Hunts. We've gone over the standard event. Now let's talk about leveling up the standard Hunt and what changes.
1. Group size
This is the single biggest lever. Smaller groups of up to 30 players sit at the $1,500 floor; beyond that you're adding players and coordination, so the cost increases. We've run standard Hunts for groups of 50 around San Francisco, and bespoke scavenger hunts for thousands of people, like at Google's multi-day conference. Our events can scale from 20 to 20,000!
2. Custom build vs. standard route
A standard route in an established area is the most affordable path. A fully custom Hunt like Stripe's (bespoke riddles, branding, a specific venue or storyline) requires more design time, which is reflected in the price.
3. City and neighborhood
We deliver in all cities. In popular areas, we already have routes in place. In a spot we haven't run before, there's sometimes a one-time cost to build the game. However, we have the same baseline price in any city, whether it's San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, San Diego – you name it.
4. Lead time
More runway means more room to design something custom and lock logistics without rush. Short-fuse bookings are doable – we can make the magic happen – but tight timelines limit how bespoke we can get.
5. Multi-city or simultaneous delivery
Running the same Hunt across offices on the same day – say, three cities racing at once – is one of our favorite things to do, and it's more production, so it prices accordingly. See how a multi-city Hunt turned out for Vimeo.
6. Add-ons
Groups can opt to add on in-person hosts, enhanced features in the game, an on-site photographer, and more. We can discuss your priorities and budget to determine what the best fit game structure is for you.

What About Really Big Groups?
Our Hunts can scale from 20 to 20,000 players.
Above roughly 100 players, a Hunt becomes a multi-host production with more coordination, and yes, more budget. When you're at that size, the honest move is to get a quote so we can price the real event.
